Prairie Land Food to the Rescue
The Prairie
Land Food program is not a government program; it is available to
everyone regardless of income. PLF is a 501(c)(3) organization
with a goal of providing quality, nutritious food at a low cost to
help stretch food dollars. The program is funded through
participation. The more people that participate, the greater the
purchasing power.
Our community
benefits from this project as well because of you volunteer work each
month. Orders can be paid by check, cash or EBT/Food Stamps.
The order form at
www.prairielandfood.com is "under
construction", to place you order online, contact June Glasgow at toll
free, 1 (800) 998-9436 or by email at
june@prairielandfood.com. The December distribution date is
December 16 from 9am - 11am.
For more
information, please feel free to contact June Glasgow. |

Community Service Committee
In an
effort to help our fellow members, Carol has been working very hard to
assist those in need. Occasionally there are those of us that
struggle with our bills, putting food on the table and clothing our
loved ones. Carol to the rescue. Her remarkable efforts
have helped to provide clothing and shelter for our struggling members
in these tough economic times.
As a whole,
our membership has been willingly lending a hand at these past few
membership meetings by donating their half and half winnings to the
CSC fund in order to help provide for our fellow members with the
assistance that they so truly need in their time of struggle.
It is with
the kindness and caring of our membership that keeps the heart of CSC
beating strong. We all owe it to ourselves to help build a
strong CSC. It may be your saving grace one day.
Thank you
Carol for your hard work, we appreciate all that you do!

Gary Welcomed all to the call -
St Louis , Okla
, Arkansas, KCMO Wichita, all represented
Suggestions that PMEI groups are working on:
- Many techs returning from Long term disability and they are
working on ways to get them back up to speed - on going with sub
committee
- I&R would like to change the 4
foot step ladder
out to a 6 ft step
ladder - referred to Tool and Safety committee
- IPDSLAM X box labeling issues - 3 APEX documents have been
issued over this problem. We have problems with F1 , F2 , being used
with purple and yellow decals on BP instead of blue an green , some
not even labeled
- Techs want access to a Duty roster - whose on duty when
- I & R techs want a battery operated drill to install the 1.25
screws that are needed for the INEDS.
- Would like to have coordination with the alarm companies about
placing modules causing back and forth problems between ATT and the
alarm company - retrips
- Wanting the F1 pairs placed on orders as when techs go to
install INED not having the F1 is causing issues.
- Developing a Chronic investment team between I&R and prem Tech
departments. This would identify chronic problems and provide better
customer service. All the second lines were on a call and this was
discussed and tabled
- 2 man install crews were trialed for 2 weeks. The trial did not
go well and it was tabled for review and revisit.
- Trialing a collapsable hand cart- Pat to report on this later
- Flagging dangerous " red" zones as awareness indicators for our
techs on GPS
- Developing decals that will be put on trucks saying " Do Not
Carry Cash"
- Developing a receptacle that will let techs place suggestion
forms into it - St louis is going to use a discarded ,gutted , RG
- For chronic concerns , a suggestion was made to use Q chat
rooms
- A joint sub committee in the St Louis area is being created
between I&M and Prem Tech departments for comparisons on the old and
new JDSU's
- A designated person , Mike, in St Louis is sending out weekly
group page reminders about submitting ideas for PMEI
- Off phone discussion , shopvacs for garages
- New suggestion was to have predrilled holes in the new INEDs for
quicker installation. Some techs are trialing this to see if its a
time saver.
- New suggestion - design channel guides for visually impaired
customers
- New Suggestion - using peer to peer trainers to bring new techs
up to speed in installation of uverse tenure 3 techs
working/mentoring Tenure 2 and Tenure 1 techs for on the job
training
- A new suggestion for mounting a sensor on vehicles to prevent
accidents. Gary Ransom said that it usually takes 4 of these to
protect the back of the vehicle. May give false sense of security in
backing. We dont have that many backing accidents to warrant
expense.
- New suggestion - issue small tv to show customers that the issue
in some of their in home problems is their tv.
- Statement that PMEI is covered in the
new employee
orientation meetings going on currently and that is a direct
result of this DSC and has been adopted all across the Southwest
region.
